This holiday season, Stony Plain Chrysler is holding drop off zones for two different local charities. Help us in giving back to and supporting local families this holiday season and spreading the Christmas cheer!!
The Kinsmen Christmas Hampers are put on by the Kinsmen Club of Stony Plain. Last year the hamper program helped 505 families (1780 people) who were supplied with food for two weeks (including the turkey for Christmas Dinner), toys for the children and gift cards for much needed necessities. Non-perishable food items, unwrapped gifts, gift cards, and monetary donations are gratefully accepted. If you would like to donate cash, or gift cards please give to me. Non-perishable food items and unwrapped gifts can be put in the Kinsmen hamper donation box by front reception. We also have a jar for monetary and gift card donations located at reception.
This year we are introducing another charity to donate to, thanks to one of our service advisors. APFA is the Alberta Parenting for the Future Association. APFA is hosting Coats for Kids this year at their organization. APFA is based in Stony Plain and sources all their donations out to families in Parkland County. APFA will be taking gently used winter coats, snow pants, new mittens, and new toques to source out to less fortunate local families in need of winter gear. We have put out a “Mitten” Tree that you can put donated mittens and toques to decorate it with, and there is also be a donation box for other items.
