When paired with the 2019 RAM 1500’s standard 3.6-liter V-6 engine, the eTorque systems helps the truck deliver performance ratings estimated at 305 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque.

In addition to the standard Pentastar V-6 engine, the RAM 1500 offers a 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 engine. This engine increases the performance numbers available on the truck to 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. This engine offers Fuel Saver Technology. This technology will deactivate four of the engine’s eight cylinders when full power is not needed, such as when the truck is at highway cruising speeds.

Both engines also take advantage of the Interactive Deceleration Fuel Shut Off feature to save fuel. This system pauses fuel flow to the engine cylinders when the truck is decelerating.

The engine options offered on the 2019 RAM 1500 will all come paired with the fully-electric TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission.
