New Jeep Cherokee Makes its Debut

2019 Jeep Cherokee Updates and Changes

The latest version of the 2019 Jeep Cherokee has made its debut at the North American International Auto Show. The new Cherokee has been updated in multiple ways for the new model year. The 2019 Jeep Cherokee updates and changes include an all-new engine option along with a variety of new systems and features.

New Jeep Cherokee Engine Lineup

The highlighting addition to the 2019 Jeep Cherokee is the crossover’s all-new 2.0-litre direct-injection turbocharged four-cylinder engine. This engine will produce performance numbers checking in at 270 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. The new engine will be paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission.

The new engine will join two returning Cherokee engine options. The crossover offers a 2.4-litre four-cylinder engine rated at 180 horsepower and 170 pound-feet of torque, and a 3.2-litre Pentastar V-6 which produces 271 horsepower and 239 pound-feet of torque.

In addition to the new engine option, multiple updates and changes have been made to the Cherokee for the 2019 model year. Exterior updates include a new front fascia, hood, headlights, running lights and fog lights, a new hands-free power liftgate, new wheel designs and an available dual-pane sunroof. The interior of the crossover offers new Satin Chrome and Piano Black high-gloss accents. Rear cargo volume has also been increased.

The 2019 Jeep Cherokee is set to arrive during the first quarter of 2018. When it does, stop by Stony Plain Chrysler to take the crossover for a test drive.
