Much of the interior in both the Wrangler and the Gladiator has been designed to get wet. The floors have one-way valves built in them so you can wash them out with a hose. Even the engine start button is waterproof and was built to survive a 24-hour soak test in a mist chamber.

That’s not all though. The Uconnect infotainment system in both the Gladiator and the Wrangler have smart rubber covers on their exterior to help protect them from the elements. You never know when a little water is going to impede your top-down fun, and you shouldn’t have to worry about it either.

Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are wonderful interfaces that enable you to access many of the features of your smartphone in a way that is optimized for driving. You can even view live maps using your phone’s navigation and make calls or send texts without taking your eyes from the road or the trail.

Both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are standard features on the Gladiator. In the 2019 Wrangler have to opt for the Sahara or Rubicon trim levels to get these features. Jeep has yet to release details on the 2020 Wrangler.

The Jeep Gladiator comes standard with Uconnect 4 which is available with either a 7-inch screen or an 8.4-inch screen. The Wrangler comes with Uconnect 4 and a 7-inch screen in either the Sahara or the Rubicon trim levels. Uconnect 4 is the latest interface to come from FCA, and it has all the latest features.

Not only do you get Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with Uconnect 4, as we mentioned previously, but there’s more. You also get Bluetooth streaming audio, Siri Eyes Free, SiriusXM satellite radio and Travel Link with Traffic, 4G Wi-Fi hotspot with support for up to 8 devices, a vehicle health report, and even access to many of your vehicle’s features and functions.
